Bioeconomy Policy Day in Brussels
@ BIOCOM AG
The European Commission invited interested stakeholder and policy makers to its Bioeconomy Policy Day on the 16th of November in Brussels. In the focus of the event: the presentation of the review on the bioeconomy strategy and the Bioeconomy Manifesto, published by the European Bioeconomy Stakeholders Panel. The conference sessions were complemented by a bioeconomy village highlighting successful projects and initiatives funded by the European Union.
The BioSTEP consortium was offered the opportunity to presents its main findings with a stand in the bioeconomy village. Many participants passed by and got involved in discussions on the purpose of the project. Several visitors were especially interested in the Guidelines for Practitioners as they were themselves currently working on the development of a regional bioeconomy or circular economy strategy. Others were fascinated by the touring exhibition of the project, in which feasible bio-based products were showcased in science centres to show that bioeconomy is already part of our everyday life.
